The Knights of Columbus Paterson Diocese Coats for Kids Distribution was held on December 19, 2021, outside the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. With the support of coat donations from many of the councils from the Paterson Diocese and the NJ State Council, the Cathedral Council 17254 collected and distribute over 1000 coats to those families in need in the city of Paterson. Leveraging the parish center at St John the Baptist Cathedral in Paterson as the hub for the collection, coats came pouring in. Grand Knight Freddy Perez, his Council officers, and committee chairmen stepped into action to organize the coats in preparation for the distribution. At the end of a long and sunny December Sunday, the mission was accomplished, with coats being placed in the hands of those in need. And the giving did not stop there, the remaining coats and toys were provided to local churches in the Paterson and Passaic area.
Councils within the Paterson Diocese also participated in the toy drive at St John the Baptist Cathedral in Paterson. In all over 2000 toys were collected and distributed by the Cathedral. Once again, the Knights of Columbus putting their Faith into Action.
