My brother Knights
Greetings and salutations from the flatlands!
I have been fielding questions on the National Eucharistic Revival and how to get involved.
First, the National Eucharistic Revival is a movement to restore understanding and devotion to this great mystery by helping us renew our worship of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist.
How can you affect this - what can you do?
Start small. What do I mean by that? Let me explain with a tangible example. Bordentown Council 570 is hosting a holy hour with our Lord. The Holy Hour is called "A Night of Encounter with the Eucharist." This event will take place on Monday, November 13th. Their flyer is attached below.
Stop by and see what is involved so you can take it to your Pastor. Do you have an hour to be with God?
Once you have done an hour with our Lord, make the most of this experience to grow into forty hours with Christ. The Forty Hours Devotion is a particular 40-hour period of continuous prayer made before the Blessed Sacrament in solemn exposition. The focus of this devotion is on the Holy Eucharist, on Christ. Parishioners and brother Knights are encouraged to spend time with our Lord, giving ample opportunity to all who seek Him to be with Him.
The Forty Hours Devotional is no small undertaking and requires a considerable commitment from your council to support the Pastor and the Program.
For additional information, reach out to GK Fank Scharibone ([email protected]), our program chairman Silvio Sartori ([email protected]), or our Faith Director Richard Macdonald ([email protected]).
Best of all, it is a Supreme Featured Program!
