Claire Howson has been the leader at the Vigil at CHWC for over 10 years. She asks if the Knights of
Columbus Councils in her area can send a minimum of two members to pray on one of the six Saturday
mornings (2/17, 2/24, 3/2, 3/9, 3/16, 3/23 and 3/30) for just one hour from 9AM to 10AM. One Council
has already committed to the February 17 date. All we need are five more Councils to commit to one
Saturday morning for just one hour! Members of many Councils have participated in the Fall and
Lenten 40 Days Vigils in past years.
A key point of the 2019 movie Unplanned is that 75% of the women considering abortion will not do so,
if there are people praying at the abortion center when they arrive.
Recently, a young lady decided not to go through with her planned abortion at the CHWC and a life was
saved. There were four men praying there at that time. At least three were members of the Knights of
Columbus.
Please pray and make the commitment to have 2 or more of your members come and pray at the Cherry
Hill Women’s Center (502 N. Kings Hwy, Cherry Hill) on one of the Saturdays during the Lenten Vigil. We
were successful in making the Saturday from 9 to 10AM block be the “Knights Hour” in the Fall and want
to build upon that in Lent 2024.
Saturday mornings are the busiest time of the week at the CHWC. This is when our efforts will have the
greatest benefit. There will be many people praying there at that time. So, we will not be alone and our
efforts will save lives!
If we are successful, we will invite all Councils in the area to send members, family and friends to the
Knights Hour on any of the Saturdays, without having to sign up in advance.
Please contact Mark Kiernan, PGK, NJ State Council Liaison to 40 Days for Life at 856-261-3074 or
[email protected], with any questions or to reserve your Saturday morning!
Thank you and God Bless You!
